It is noted that the new 2nm chip will quadruple the battery life of a mobile phone. The chip has 50 billion transistors.
“More transistors on a chip also means there is more room for processor designers to innovate such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing, as well as new paths in hardware security and encryption,” the company said.
The chips will hit the market in a few years.
In addition, they can also be used in unmanned vehicles.
