Greek authorities have eased quarantine restrictions amid an improvement in the coronavirus situation and opened private beaches on May 8.

On the beaches, tourists must comply with anti-epidemic measures. In particular, umbrellas must be placed at a distance of at least four meters from each other. The beaches will also be regularly disinfected and staff of beach bars and other staff will be checked for COVID-19.
According to the Prime Minister, the combination of large-scale testing, immunization and the fact that many events will be held outdoors has added confidence. Greek authorities believe that tourists will be able to rest in their country safely.
The head of the beach in the seaside suburb of Alimos, Nikos Venieris, said that his area has hopes for tourism.
Foreign tourists will be allowed to enter Greece on May 15. Museums will also open their doors to visitors from May 15.
“We are one of the places on the Athens Riviera that receives many tourists, so the number of visitors from abroad will play a big role in our finances,” he said.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, currently, Greece does not allow tourists from our country. The only exception is those Ukrainians who have a residence permit in Greece, EU member states, and the Schengen area (with certificates).
