The president’s wife, Olena Zelenska, spoke about this at the International Forum of Cultural Diplomacy.
The First Lady also said that the works of contemporary Ukrainian artists are usually chosen for protocol gifts to foreign leaders during official visits with her husband.
“Another tool that is available to me in my work may be a household tool, but it is important – it is gifts that are given to foreign leaders during official visits according to the protocol. This topic is also important, because through these visits diplomatic activity, through these gifts we establish relations between leaders, relations between people. Volodymyr and I always try to choose the most interesting works of contemporary Ukrainian artists – textiles, ceramics, etc., “said Olena Zelenska.
The president’s wife considers it necessary to expand this list, and hopes that artists, diplomats and all those involved in cultural diplomacy will be able to provide their expert assistance to “represent our country abroad more effectively and efficiently.”
