In Ukraine: Over 4,000 Cases and 356 Deaths in a Day

In Ukraine, 2,129 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have already been registered, an increase of 4.5 thousand per day on May 11, which is twice as many as the day before. Fatalities per day – 356. This was reported by the Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov on Facebook.

“4,538 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have been recorded in Ukraine as of May 12, 2021,” Stepanov said.

Also for the past day:

hospitalized – 1,349 people;

fatalities – 356;

19,766 people recovered;

tests were performed per day – 71 383 (including PCR – 38 959, ELISA – 12 617, rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 19 807).

The number of active patients with COVID-19 has decreased by more than 15 thousand: today there are 284,950 patients (15,584 less than last day).

During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:

fell ill – 2,129,073 people;

recovered – 1,797,136 people;

fatalities – 46,987;

PCR tests were performed – 9,721,036.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk oblasts, and the city of Sevastopol are missing.

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
