The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to hold an external meeting on Wednesday, May 12. Officials are to consider a number of draft resolutions and orders, including a plan to organize the implementation of the National Security and Defense Council’s decision on personal sanctions of April 15.

Yes, we are talking about April 15. The National Security and Defense Council instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to prepare and submit to the President of Ukraine a draft law on amendments to legislative acts to improve the procedure for application, implementation, and monitoring of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions).
It should be noted that the text of the order to be considered by government officials today has not been published by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Today, among other issues, the Government will undertake a draft order approving an action plan for the implementation of the Concept of Artificial Intelligence Development in Ukraine for 2021-2024.
The main provisions of the draft act are the implementation of the state policy of artificial intelligence in the following areas: education and vocational training, science, economics, cybersecurity, information security, defense, public administration, legal regulation and ethics, justice.
The draft Law of Ukraine “On Withdrawal from the Agreement on Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Customs Affairs of April 15, 1994” and the draft relevant order of the Cabinet of Ministers provide for withdrawal from another agreement within the CIS concluded in Moscow.
It is reported that the adoption of the document is a necessary condition for further informing the depository (CIS Executive Committee). As stated in the explanatory note, it is assumed that with the implementation of the draft act, the legal framework in the customs sphere is brought into line with the current state of relations within the CIS.
Today, the Cabinet of Ministers is also to consider a number of draft resolutions of the Verkhovna Rada on changing and establishing the boundaries of individual cities: Sosnivka, Chervonohrad district, Lviv region, Myrhorod, Myrhorod district, Poltava region, Illintsiv, Vinnytsia district, Vinnytsia region.
Officials will undertake amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code of Ukraine to combat discrimination. It is proposed, in particular, to amend Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, providing for liability for public appeals to violence based on intolerance, as well as other intentional actions aimed at inciting hatred and hatred based on intolerance.
Also on the agenda of the Cabinet of Ministers is a draft resolution on the establishment of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine.
In addition, today will consider a draft order proposing the establishment of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of events to mark the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of Ukraine.
The day before it became known that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will hold an external meeting on May 12. It will be part of the working trip of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal to the Chernihiv region.
An on-site meeting of the government in the Chernihiv region was planned to be held in June 2020, but it was canceled due to the aggravation of the flood situation in Western Ukraine.
