In Ukraine, 2.135 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have already been registered, an increase of 6.8 thousand per day, on May 12, which is half more than the day before. The number of hospitalized per day has almost doubled to more than 2,500. Fatalities per day – 346. This was reported by the Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov on Facebook.

In Ukraine, 6,813 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 were detected in 24 hours. In particular, 289 children and 160 health workers fell ill.
According to him, 2,569 people were hospitalized during the day; 346 fatalities were registered; 19,507 people recovered.
In addition, 89,490 tests were performed per day (including 35,366 by PCR, 15,261 by ELISA, and 38,863 tests by rapid tests for SARS-CoV-2 antigen).
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
fell ill – 2,135,886 people;
recovered – 1,816,643 people;
fatalities – 47,333;
PCR tests were performed – 9,756,402.
Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (726), Kharkiv (635), Donetsk (587), Dnipropetrovsk (553) and Rivne (459) oblasts.
Stepanov also said that 20,386 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on May 12, 2021, in Ukraine.
“901,107 people have been vaccinated since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 901,105 of them received a dose, 2,828 people completed the vaccination (received 2 doses) (2 of them received 1 dose abroad),” the statement reads.
