More Than 7.5 Thousand New Cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine

In Ukraine, 2.143 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase over the day, May 13, – 7.5 thousand, which is more than the day before. Almost at the level of the previous day, the number of hospitalized – 2.2 thousand. The number of fatalities per day decreased to 287. This was reported by the Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov on Facebook.

Over the past 24hrs, the coronavirus was detected in 7,562 people in Ukraine, including 336 children and 216 health workers. 287 deaths were recorded, 15,958 patients recovered and 2,195 people were hospitalized.

The number of those who recovered in more than two weeks far exceeds the number of infected.

The number of active patients with COVID19 has decreased by more than 8,000: today there are 263,227 patients (8,683 less than last day).

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (681), Kharkiv (665), Dnipropetrovsk (487), Cherkasy (449), and Donetsk (445) oblasts.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,143,448 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Ukraine, of which 1,832,601 people have recovered and 47,620 have died from complications.

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
