At least 18 wild elephants have been found dead in the Nagaon district of Assam, India.

The Forest Department investigated that wild elephant could be killed during the strikes. Assam chief Amit Sahai, the chief chief conservator of the wildlife, said the incident took place on Wednesday in a hilly area near a forest reserve in the Catiatoli area.
The carcasses of 18 elephants were found in two different places.
In Senegal, hundreds of pelicans have died from bird flu.
