Ukrainians trust the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the church the most, according to a new survey conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center.
In particular, most Ukrainians trust the Ukrainian Armed Forces (65% of respondents), the church (62%), the State Emergency Service (60%), volunteer organizations (60%), the State Border Guard Service (55%), the head of city (town, village) in which the respondent lives (54%), the National Guard of Ukraine (52%), volunteer battalions (52%), the city (town, village) councils (50%).
According to the survey, 79% of respondents do not trust the state apparatus (officials). In particular, 76% of respondents do not trust the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 75% – courts (the judiciary as a whole), 75% – the government, 73% – political parties, 73% – commercial banks, 72.5% – the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).
In addition, 71% of respondents do not trust the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC), 70% – the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, 70% – the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, 70% – the Prosecutor’s Office, 65% – the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, 64% – the National Bank of Ukraine, 63% – local courts, 63% – the Supreme Court, 60% – the President of Ukraine, 54% – trade unions, 53% – the national police, 51% – the Security Service of Ukraine.
The survey was conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center through face-to-face interviews between October 30 and November 5, 2020 at the place of residence of respondents. Some 2020 respondents aged over 18 were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine, except for Crimea and the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The poll’s margin of error (excluding the design effect) does not exceed 2.3% with a probability of 0.95.
