2.150 Million Cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine

In Ukraine, 2.150 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase over the day, May 14, – almost 6.8 thousand, which is less than the day before. The number of hospitalized decreased to almost 1.2 thousand. The number of fatalities per day decreased to 322. This was reported by the Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov on Facebook.

As of the morning of May 15, another 6,796 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Ukraine. In particular, 347 children and 233 health workers fell ill.

On Friday, 2,197 people were hospitalized with complications from the disease, 2,796 were discharged from hospitals. 322 people, unfortunately, died on May 14, while 17,202 people recovered.

During the whole pandemic in Ukraine, 2,150,244 people fell ill with COVID-19: 1,849,880 recovered and 47,942 died.

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (544), Kharkiv (630), Dnipropetrovsk (518), Donetsk (480), and Lviv (432) oblasts.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk oblasts, and the city of Sevastopol are missing.

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
