In Ukraine, 2.153 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have already been registered, an increase of 3.6 thousand per day on May 15, which is almost twice less than the day before. The number of hospitalized increased to more than 2.2 thousand. Fatalities per day decreased to 133. This was reported by the Ministry of Health.

As of the morning of May 16, 3,620 new cases of coronavirus disease had been registered in Ukraine.
In particular, 172 children and 60 medical workers fell ill.
Thus, 2,208 people were admitted to hospitals with coronavirus; 3845 patients were discharged from hospitals, and a total of 7921 people recovered. 133 people died of coronavirus in Ukraine on Saturday.
The largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Dnipropetrovsk (530), Kyiv (277), Donetsk (260), Odesa (231), and Kherson (194) oblasts.
For the past 24hrs, 17389 PCR tests have been performed on Covid-19 and 3848 tests by ELISA. There were also 17,674 studies with rapid tests for the antigen to SARS-CoV-2.
A total of 2153,864 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Ukraine since the beginning of the pandemic; recovered – 1857724 people; died – 48075, conducted 9841788 PCR tests.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk oblasts, and the city of Sevastopol are missing.
According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
