An investment seminar dedicated to attracting Australian investments in the IT industry in Ukraine was held at the premises of startup support company Techburners in Sydney, attended by representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora.

The event was organized by the Australian company LQD Technology.
The seminar was co-organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in Australia, the Federation of Ukrainian Organizations in Australia, the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as well as the Australian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce.
According to a statement issued by the company, the seminar participants were representatives of the Australian government, business, academic and community of local experts as well as Ukrainian expatriates, including Chairman of the Australian-Ukrainian Business Council JP, co-chair of the Federation of Ukrainian-Australian Organizations S. Romanov, Australian ambassador to Ukraine B. Edwards (online).
Presentations during the event were made by H.Simpson, CEO and co-founder of LQD Technology, and Ukraine’s Ambassador to Australia M. Kulinich, co-founder and representative of the Australian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce in NSW K. Arger, as well as Head of the Priority Investment Sectors Unit at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (AUSTRADE) Dr. Tabat.
It should be noted that a panel discussion became a separate element in the seminar, during which the speakers briefed the guests of the event on the existing conditions for implementing its projects in our country, and discussed promising areas for the development of bilateral cooperation in the commercial and economic fields.
Speakers noted that Ukraine currently has all the necessary conditions for further growth of the IT sector and its active integration with the major players in the world in this field. According to H. Simpson, today the Ukrainian IT market is characterized by its high competitiveness and cost advantages in comparison with the markets of other countries.
LQD Technology, co-founded by Simpson, is actively growing in Ukraine due to the availability of qualified local employees and the steady increase in orders from powerful foreign companies.
Meanwhile, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia, speaking to the participants in this event, among other things, drew attention to the Ukrainian government establishing a number of mechanisms to support investment projects in our country, as well as opportunities for developing cooperation in high-tech industries.
The ministry added that the lively discussion among the participants in the event resulted from the issue of the successful presentation by Ukrainian IT companies of the latest technological developments in the international market, as well as the introduction of the best international standards in the field of managing the activities of local companies in this industry.
