This is stated in the analytical report, compiled on the basis of a survey on trends in the organization of distance learning in institutions of professional higher and higher education in the 2020/2021 academic year. The survey was conducted by the State Education Quality Service of Ukraine in April 2021.
According to the results of an anonymous survey, the respondents’ opinion on which of the forms of organization of the educational process will be more effective in the post-pandemic world has undergone significant changes.
Thus, during the autumn survey conducted by the Service in 2020, two-thirds of respondents said that after the completion of restrictive measures and the termination of quarantine, the form of education must return to the classic – full-time. About 28% of respondents supported the possibility of transition to a mixed educational process, and only 4% considered distance learning as a prospect.
During the spring survey, it was found that every second participant in the survey believes that after the quarantine, the form of the educational process should return to the previous one, ie this figure decreased by 20%.
More than 40% of respondents expressed the opinion that the form of education should be mixed (distance-distance), and a little more than 8% of respondents believe that the distance is optimal. That is, the number of supporters of mixed and exclusively distance learning has almost doubled.
