The popular American theater and film actor Charles Grodin, who played the main roles in the films “Beethoven” and “Catch Before Midnight”, has died at the age of 87. The tragic news is reported by The Associated Press with reference to his own son Nikolos.

According to Grodin’s son, the actor died of bone marrow cancer. He and his family lived in the small town of Wilton, Connecticut, USA.
An army of thousands of fans from all over the world grieves over the death of Charles Grodin. In the comments to the publication, colleagues of the deceased actor expressed their condolences for the loss.
Recall that Charles Grodin was born in 1935 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He began his acting career back in the 1950s, playing the drummer in 2000 Leagues Under the Sea. Especially Grodin became famous for his comedic roles in the films “Catch Before Midnight” in 1988, as well as in several parts of the movie about the dog “Beethoven”, where he played the father of the family.
The star of the movie “Beethove” was married twice. His first wife was Julia Ferguson. In this marriage, their daughter Marion was born. The union broke up in 1968. In 1985, the actor married Elissa Durwood. The couple had a son, Nicky, in 1988.
