Salo
Yes, we were right: fatty, repeatedly cursed by nutritionists lard – a very useful product for heart health. The fact is that most of the fats in fat are monounsaturated acids, which are very good for vascular and heart health because they “dissolve” dangerous cholesterol. So a few slices of lard a day is the norm recommended by a doctor!
Seed
100 g of sunflower seeds contain 10% of the daily norm of magnesium, which is necessary for the normal functioning of the heart. It is also a seed rich in zinc, which is also needed for cardiovascular health. And pumpkin seeds are rich in useful dietary fiber, which reduces the amount of dangerous cholesterol. And it also has a lot of magnesium.
Beer
Beer is the most available source of silicon, which helps reduce the risk of atherosclerosis (a disease that affects blood vessels and leads to heart attack). In order to get a daily dose of silicon, it is enough to drink only one half-liter glass of beer – the main thing is not to eat it with fatty foods!
Coffee
Moderate coffee consumption helps reduce arrhythmia – this conclusion was reached by scientists from the University of Sydney. And if you drink 4 cups of aromatic drink a day, you can significantly reduce the risk of vascular disease. The main thing is to drink black coffee, without milk and cream.
Tomato paste
Lycopene is an important element that is vital for our heart. The lower it’s content in the body, the higher the risk of cardiovascular disease. And the easiest way to get it from tomato paste: only 4 grams contain the daily amount of lycopene – it’s less than a teaspoon!
Potato
Nutritionists are increasingly advising not to exclude potatoes from the diet, even if you follow a diet. Boiled or baked without oil potatoes are safe for the body and very good for health. The fact is that potatoes are rich in potassium, which helps regulate blood pressure, as well as vitamin B6, which is very important for the formation of red blood cells.
Banana
Another product that should never be thrown out of your diet: just one small banana a day will help maintain the necessary levels of potassium and sodium, which ensure the normal functioning of all muscles – including the heart. Very useful, and most importantly – delicious!
Yogurt
But by no means low-fat: a study conducted by Boston University confirmed that only two servings of yogurt a day reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke by 30%. But only without sugar!
