In Ukraine, More Than 4,000 Cases of COVID-19 Have Been Confirmed

In Ukraine, 2.179 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase of 24.6 per day on May 21, which is less than the day before. 178 people died in a day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

On the eve of the weekend, May 21, another 4,606 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Ukraine. In particular, 269 children and 108 health workers fell ill.

On Friday, 1,665 people were hospitalized to hospitals with COVID-19 complications, and 2,050 were discharged at the same time. Over the past 24 hours, 178 patients died of coronavirus, and 12,586 recovered.

During the whole pandemic in Ukraine, 2,179,988 people became ill: 1,941,625 of them recovered, and 49,279 died.

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Dnipropetrovsk (438), Kharkiv (371), Lviv (344), Donetsk (334), and Kyiv (303) oblasts.

Lviv region – 344 cases;

Mykolaiv region – 192 cases;

Odessa region – 174 cases;

Poltava region – 188 cases;

Rivne region – 201 cases;

Sumy region – 121 cases;

Ternopil region – 98 cases;

Kharkiv region – 371 cases;

Kherson region – 132 cases;

Khmelnytsky region – 171 cases;

Cherkasy region – 164 cases;

Chernivtsi region – 64 cases;

Chernihiv region – 89 cases.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk oblasts, and the city of Sevastopol are missing.

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 17th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
