Alexander Kubrakov, appointed Minister of Infrastructure, intends to restore the infrastructure of ports, as well as to continue the practice of transferring them to a concession.

He stated this in the Verkhovna Rada hall, presenting the program of his actions as a minister.
“Among the priorities of river and sea transport is, first of all, the restoration of port infrastructure, as in UZ, the level of depreciation of fixed assets of our ports reaches 80-90%, the state can not ignore this problem. I understand that there was a period when 90% of the dividends of the seaports administration were taken to the budget and it was normal because the war started, but we are already losing critical infrastructure, so part of these funds should be used to upgrade the port infrastructure, “he said.
Kubrakov also intends to continue the practice of transferring seaports to concessions.
“We will continue this practice. I understand that there is trust in this, there is a transparent mechanism for attracting investors,” he added.
Appointment of Kubrakov
On Thursday, May 20, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine considered the issue of appointing Oleksandr Kubrakov to the post of Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
The corresponding decision was supported by 284 people’s deputies from 226 necessary.
