The girl grew up without a father, her mother was a soldier and sang in the ensemble “Red Viburnum”. They and their mother were asked to leave the house where Kateryna spent her childhood one day.
Schoolteacher Tetyana Shafrai recalls that Katya was often ill. Spent in the hospital almost the entire graduation year.
But when she came to the prom, says Tatiana, she asked for her number to be inserted into the concert. Nobody even ran. She sang so that the whole hall stood up and half the hall cried. She sang so beautifully.
