“Yevgeny Shevchenko was expelled from the Servant of the People. The faction’s secretariat still managed to collect the required number of signatures,” Kachura said.
According to Kachura, the materials will be passed to the Verkhovna Rada and read at the next plenary session.
“With the dismissal, Eugene,” Kachura wrote.
The fact that the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yevhen Shevchenko was expelled from the “Servant of the People” faction was confirmed in the political force itself – in an official statement.
“The relevant decision was made by a majority of votes. All the necessary signatures have been collected. Soon the documents will be handed over to the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada for an announcement in the hall,” the SN said.
In April, Yevhen Shevchenko, a member of the Servant of the People faction, held a personal meeting with Oleksandr Lukashenko. After that, Yevhen Shevchenko stated that he expected to be expelled from the faction. The first deputy head of the faction, Oleksandr Kornienko, replied: people should be released.
This is not the first visit of Shevchenko’s “servant of the people” to Minsk after the 2020 presidential election, in which the country’s CEC recognized Lukashenko’s victory. On February 11, 2021, he published a photo from Minsk – from the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly held by Alexander Lukashenko. The Servant of the People then called it a private visit. He also congratulated Alexander Lukashenko on his “victory” in the presidential election.

It should be noted that Ukraine does not recognize Lukashenko as the legitimate president of Belarus.
But Shevchenko at a meeting with Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said that 36% of the Ukrainian population would like to see Lukashenko as their president.
It should be added that the faction’s decision was made against the background of the detention of NETTA Telegram co-founder Roman Protasevich in Minsk, who was taken off a Ryanair plane from Athens to Vilnius. The command to take the plane in Minsk was given personally by Alexander Lukashenko, the Telegram channel “Pool One” reported.
