A native of Kyiv, tennis player Lesya Tsurenko overcame the barrier of the first qualifying round at Roland Garros.

Tsurenko defeated American Daniel Liao (218 in the WTA world rankings) in a fierce struggle – 6: 1, 4: 6, 7: 6 (0).
In the decisive set, Lesya led – 5: 2, but the opponent managed to transfer the game to a tie-break. But Tsurenko did not make a mistake there.
It is worth noting that Tsurenko will face the 153rd racket of the world Magdalena Fresh from “Poland” in the second round of selection.
Ilya Marchenko also overcame the first round of selection.
