President Volodymyr Zelensky cares about the national interests of Ukrainians, and therefore does not make chaotic decisions and does not throw words to the wind. Iryna Vereshchuk, a People’s Deputy from the Servant of the People faction, stated this on the air of the Right to Power program, commenting on the statement of former Ukrainian Ambassador to Belarus Roman Bezsmertny that Zelensky did not call Belarusian President Oleksandr Lukashenko a dictator.

“I was touched by Bezsmertny’s words that the president was silent and did not call Lukashenko a dictator. Thus, Mr. Bezsmertny slightly accused the Ukrainian authorities of not doing enough. After all, they say, Duda (President of Poland Andrzej Duda) called, the President of Lithuania (President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausea) – called, and we did not voice it verbally.
In this part, I want to recall today’s (May 27, – ed.) Tragedy, when a sniper killed our soldier with aimed fire. And when the president can say a lot in words, but is silent, clenching his teeth, because he knows that it can cost many lives – he probably thinks. Because today, not a Pole died, not a Lithuanian, but a Ukrainian. These are our national interests. We always have to take into account that we are now at the front line, ”Vereshchuk commented.
Vereshchuk called Zelensky “president of peace.”
On May 27, Russian occupation forces fired on Ukrainian positions in Donbas. A Ukrainian soldier was killed by a sniper bullet.
