Ukrainian climber Yana Kryvosheya, who disappeared in Turkey, was found dead near the top of Mount Geyksivrisi.

The 42-year-old Ukrainian arrived in Antalya on May 1 and climbed Mount Geyksivrisi – at an altitude of 1715 meters, according to Antalya Hakkinda.
The next day, the climber sent her mother a message with the text: “I’m upstairs.” The last telephone signals were received at 14:00 on May 4, after which communication with the citizen of Ukrainka was interrupted.
Search and rescue operations lasted almost a month – 23 days. They were joined by gendarmerie units, as well as a special JAK group of 25 people. In general, for several weeks she was searched by various rescue teams, both local and Ukrainian.
The body of the victim was found only with the help of aerial photography by the gendarmerie and the rescue team on May 28.
Rescuers removed the dead Ukrainian woman from the rocks and took her to the Institute of Forensic Medicine to determine the exact cause of death.
According to preliminary information, the woman died after falling from sheer cliffs.
