French investigators began questioning Carlos Ghosn, the former president of Renault and Nissan, on Monday in Lebanon, where he has sought refuge since his dramatic escape from Japan, a judicial source said.

The source told AFP that Ghosn, his defense staff, the Lebanese public prosecutor who attended the session and visiting French judges entered the courtroom of the Court of Cassation, where the investigation began into allegations of fraudulent activities.
