The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi approved the agenda of the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, which consists of 8 issues, submitted by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov.
Among other things, it is planned to discuss issues of deepening cooperation with NATO and hear reports on the implementation of the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, etc.
Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Roman Leshchenko said that the Ministry of Agrarian Policy would provide the necessary data for the application of the National Security and Defense Council’s sanctions mechanism against “land fraudsters” and announced a special tax regime for entities that have exercised the right to free land privatization.
Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Yenin said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine had prepared a sanctions package against Belarusian citizens who support the regime of Alexander Lukashenko, which has already been submitted to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
In addition, the government has decided to propose to the National Security and Defense Council to impose sanctions on 11 Russian artists for illegally visiting the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine is preparing a package of sanctions against 5 incumbent deputies of Ukraine.
The National Security and Defense Council started working in the “turbo mode” in early February. It has already imposed sanctions on a number of individuals, including Ukrainian politicians, foreigners, smugglers, and “thieves in law.”
