In Ukraine, there are already 2.215 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19, an increase per day on June 6 – only half a thousand, which is a traditional decrease in the number of cases on weekends and the lowest figure since the beginning of the year. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

In the past 24hrs, 535 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Ukraine, including 30 children and 61 medical workers. 1,743 patients recovered and 33 died from complications. 601 people were hospitalized with a suspected or confirmed diagnosis.
Most new cases were found in Kyiv (87), Mykolaiv (78), Kyiv (52), Dnipropetrovsk (47), and Rivne (42) oblasts.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have recorded 2,215,052 cases of coronavirus infection. Of these, 51,215 people died from complications of the disease, and 2,094,971 recovered. Today, 68,866 Ukrainians are ill – 1,241 fewer than in the past.
The incidence has decreased significantly, while fewer tests are traditionally conducted during the weekend.
A smaller daily “increase” in patients was almost a year ago – for the day of June 9, 2020, revealed 525 cases of coronavirus infection.
Coronavirus test in Ukraine
Laboratories performed 17,591 tests for coronavirus: by PCR – 10,723, by ELISA – 1,356. Also performed 5,512 rapid tests for the antigen to the virus. In total, more than 10.3 million PCR tests were conducted in the country.

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
