“EU ambassadors have given the green light to extend the EU’s ban on investment in Crimea for another year,” the journalist said.
EU sanctions include a ban on imports into the EU of goods from Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as a number of other restrictions.
According to him, further approval of the decision by the EU Council is expected in the coming days.
EU sanctions on Crimea: what you need to know
On May 31, 2021, Ricard Jozwiak announced that the ambassadors of the EU countries on June 9 will continue the ban on investing in the Russian-occupied Crimea.
EU sanctions include a ban on imports into the EU of goods from Crimea and Sevastopol; investments in Crimea or Sevastopol; tourist services in Crimea and Sevastopol, in particular, European cruise liners cannot enter Crimean ports; export of certain goods and technologies to the Crimea, in particular, in the field of transport, telecommunications, and energy.
