Anyone who grows cucumbers will not give up the opportunity to harvest two instead of one. As it turned out, it is quite real, the main thing is to use a little trick.

The second time you do not have to sow and other seedlings will not be needed. You just need to grow additional roots, which is done simply and without much effort.
How to harvest two cucumbers
In June, as a rule, these plants already produce long whips. Each of these stems should be pressed tightly to the ground. Which do not give in – fasten with a rope with a peg or a small load. After that, they must be watered.
In seven days these shoots will have additional roots. Pegs and cargo must be removed. The tops will gain strength in the eyes – because thanks to the additional roots, they will receive more nutrients, which will contribute to the ripening of a huge number of fruits.
However, this is not all. Timely pruning of cucumbers is also important. It will help to grow two or even three times the yield. You need to remove the fat shoots in the axils of the first five to eight leaves and the ovaries in the axils of the first two to four leaves. This is done with sharp scissors or a knife carefully so as not to damage other leaves, ovaries, and stems. Then it would be good to treat the slice with greenery – to protect against infections.
Do not forget about mulching. For this purpose manure, and the roasted sawdust, and straw, and peat will approach also. But the cut grass can not be used: from it, the plants can pick up various rots. A layer of mulch should be laid so that it does not touch the stems.
In addition, it is undesirable to keep ripe fruit on the whip. The larger their size, the smaller the harvest may be, and frequent fruit picking will help increase their number.
Not the last role is played also by artificial pollination and loosening of the soil. Cucumbers need soil air, in its absence, the plant will grow more slowly, the ovaries will crumble.
And once again in two weeks, you need to feed the plants with a mixture of milk and water (in a ratio of 1: 2).
