The Government approved a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the United Arab Emirates on mutual recognition and exchange of national driver’s licenses.

The relevant resolution was adopted at a government meeting.
The decision was made without discussion.
The agreement was signed on February 14, 2021, in the city of Abu Dhabi.
Issuance of driver’s licenses in Ukraine
On July 17, 2020, the rules for issuing driver’s licenses were changed in Ukraine.
According to the instructions when obtaining categories BE, C1E, CE, D1E, and DE, you can confirm the presence of driving skills in any of the categories B, C1, C, D1, and D, and the maximum allowable break in driving skills increased to 3 months.
In the case of opening two or more categories, the theoretical exam is taken once on the examination tickets of the highest category.
Ukrainian rights in Italy
On June 1, 2021, the agreement between Ukraine and Italy on mutual recognition and exchange of driver’s licenses was suspended.
