WhatsApp introduced an updated version of the messenger on iOS. It is already presented in the App Store under the number 2.21.110.

In the new version, you can see two innovations that can be useful if you actively communicate in this messenger. You can now adjust the playback speed of voice messages between 1x, 1.5x, and 2x.
You can change the speed directly while listening. And if you are mentioned in the correspondence, in the general list of chats you will see the @ icon against the chat where you were mentioned.
Voice message playback settings have been available in the WhatsApp version for Android for about a month now. Developers are constantly testing new features in Messenger Beta. After several weeks of testing, these features become available to all users in stable versions of WhatsApp.
