Kyiv. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – June 15, 2021 – Art and Celebrities
Last year, when everything was ready for filming: the schedules of the actors, the costumes, the scenery was built, 3 days before the start, a complete lockdown was announced in Ukraine. “For the film, it meant death,” said the film’s director and co-producer Oles Sanin. But, fortunately, almost a year later, the shooting was restored.
The film “Dovbush” is called the largest Ukrainian cinema in terms of the number of sets, re-constructors, actors, stuntmen, and locations. The authors of the tape declare that they want to make a precedent in the world market.
The film is set in the Carpathians at the beginning of the 18th century. The rule of the Polish gentry forces the Hutsuls to flee to the mountains. Only two brothers, Oleksa and Ivan Dovbushi, go in search of revenge on the Panam. In the course of events, the brothers become enemies, because one of them strives only for money, and not for justice.
“Each nation has its own national hero. We have it Dovbush” – said Oles Sanin.
The main roles will be played by Sergei Strelnikov (Oleksa) and Alexei Gnatkovsky (Ivan Dovbush).
