Opening Water and Bicycle Routes in the Chernobyl Zone

From Tuesday, June 22, the exclusion zone will be ready to receive lovers of water tourism and lovers of cycling.

There will be five officially approved routes along the rivers of the Chornobyl zone, on which radiation and dosimetric control has been carried out. This was reported in the Center for organizational, technical, and information support of the exclusion zone management.

Specialists of the state specialized enterprise “Ecocenter” guarantee that the control levels of possible exposure will not be exceeded.

There will be a total of one bicycle and five water routes, namely:

№14: Uzh River – Pripyat River – to the city of Chornobyl;

№15: the Dnieper River – the Pripyat River – the Dnieper River – to the village of Towers;

№16: the Dnieper River – the Pripyat River – to the city of Chornobyl;

№17: Dnieper River – Pripyat River – to the Railway Bridge;

№18: Dnipro river – Pripyat river – Braginka river – to the village of Ladyzhychi;

bicycle route: Checkpoint “Green Cape” – p. Otashiv – village You are buying – the village of Apache.
