Anna Ryzhikova and Andriy Protsenko were chosen as the best track and field athlete of May in Ukraine.

In May, Anna Ryzhikova won the Ukrainian team championship (55.25 c) and took second place at the international competitions in Ostrava (55.09 c) in the 400-meter hurdles.
Protsenko opened the season with a stage of the Diamond League in Doha and took third place in the high jump (2.27 m).
It is noted that the voting took place in three categories: among media representatives, experts (FLAU Council), and fans. Each category of votes was counted as a third of all votes.
The Ukrainian long jumper triumphed at competitions in Austria.
