Today, the Trinity is one of the main Christian holidays, which is celebrated annually by Christians of both Eastern and Western rites.

The holiday is dedicated to the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The descent of the Holy Spirit on the apostles is commemorated and glorified on the feast day.
According to the Gospel, on the 50th day after the resurrection of Christ, the apostles gathered in Jerusalem. It is narrated that the Holy Spirit appeared before them in light and radiance. After that, the apostles gained the ability to heal and prophesy, as well as to speak in different tongues, to carry the word of God to every person on earth.
It is known from history that the Church began to widely celebrate the Trinity in the fourth century, after acknowledging the existence of the one God with the simultaneous recognition of its three manifestations.
Scripture states that on the day of the Trinity when the apostles began to preach in different languages, several thousand people joined the Christian church.
In fact, that is why the day of the Trinity, or the day of the descent of the Holy Spirit, is often called the birthday of the Church.
This day is also known as Pentecost, as it is the fiftieth day after Easter.
On the same day, there is a tradition to decorate temples and houses with greenery and this is a very old tradition that has a pre-Christian history and dates back to ancient times.
In the old days, people celebrated this day very solemnly. The houses were decorated with fresh flowers, in particular, lovage, tree branches, herbs, thyme, mint, sleep.
The tradition of decorating homes with greenery has survived to this day.
