The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky I put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of June 4, 2021 “On the development of the aircraft industry in Ukraine.”

The relevant presidential decree was published on the website of the head of state.
According to the decree, the Cabinet of Ministers must approve the State Targeted Scientific and Technical Program for the Development of the Aviation Industry for 2021-2030 within a month, as well as present a vision of how long-term large-scale projects such as Air Launch and National Air Carrier can be implemented.
The Ministry of Defense has been instructed to study the inclusion of aircraft and helicopter fleet renewal in the State Targeted Defense Program for the Development of Arms and Military Equipment, including combat aircraft, helicopters, multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicles, An-74 and An-178 military transport aircraft.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine is instructed to promote the products of the domestic aircraft industry in foreign markets, as well as to search for potential partners to integrate Ukraine into the global aviation industry. In 2021, the ministries must take measures in accordance with the established procedure to conclude agreements on strategic cooperation with foreign partners in the field of aircraft construction, to provide further support for the development of international cooperation under certain programs in compliance with national interests.
The task of the Ministry of Strategic Industries together with the National Academy of Sciences is measures to import substitution of aviation products, including special-purpose bearings, electronic components.
The decree comes into force from the date of publication.
