IFC “Nikolaev” announced the transfer from the First to the Second League of Ukraine due to funding problems.

It is said that the club lost financial assistance from local authorities.
“The existing achievements of the club gave confidence to football players, football experts, and fans that the Nikolaev football has the big future ahead. The opportunity to play in the highest division of Ukrainian football – the Premier League – loomed next season … However, today all achievements are nullified by only one factor – the lack of funding for the club, “- said in a statement.
Thus, in the absence of the necessary financial assistance from the city administration, IFC “Mykolayiv” made the only possible decision in these conditions – in the season 2021-2022 to move from the First to the Second League of the PFL of Ukraine.
Last season “Nikolaev” finished in fourth place in the First League of Ukraine.
