The mission of the German armed forces (Bundeswehr) in Afghanistan is over. On Tuesday, June 29, the last German soldiers in a camp in Mazar, soldiers on four military planes were redeployed to Germany. In December 2014, the North Atlantic Alliance completed a 13-year military operation in the country and on January 1, 2015, launched a “Strong Support” mission to train Afghan government troops.
