The State Education Quality Service and its territorial bodies will now be able to conduct unscheduled inspections of schools.
Kyiv. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – July 1, 2021 – Education
The relevant Procedure for conducting unscheduled inspections of general secondary education institutions has been approved by the Ministry of Education and Science.
The Ministry of Education and Science emphasizes that unscheduled inspections are aimed at ensuring the public interest in the proper quality of education, as well as compliance by schools with the requirements of educational legislation.
“Students and parents can count on the protection of their educational rights and interests,” – said the education department.
The document stipulates that the basis for an unscheduled inspection of the school will be an individual’s appeal for violations, the need to verify the implementation of the order to eliminate violations issued as a result of preliminary control, as well as the appeal of the educational ombudsman.
As the inspection is unscheduled and related to the fact of violation, it does not provide for prior notification of the school about its conduct.
It is planned that the results of the inspection will be recorded in a special act.
In case of detection of violations of the legislation, the controlling body will issue an order to eliminate them. The order will be binding.
