An open land market since the beginning of Ukraine’s independence would make it possible to limit the reproduction of agricultural holdings and their aggressive prevalence over rural farmers. However, the lack of clear rules for playing in the agricultural market at that time and the populist slogans of “old politicians” led to the decline of the Ukrainian countryside. Most shareholders gave their land for nothing instead of developing a farm. The People’s Deputy, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy told about it, especially for agronews.ua Dmitry Solomchuk.
Kyiv. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – July 3, 2021 – Agriculture
“I am glad that during my cadence in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine we managed to prove by law that the land belongs to Ukrainians, period! Land reform is a bright green light for farmers! The opening of the land market is an opportunity for the revival of the Ukrainian countryside, ”Dmytro Solomchuk is convinced.
In addition, in his opinion, the launch of land turnover is a unique opportunity to attract young people to agriculture and stop its outflow abroad in search of “Polish strawberries”, as happened in the period from 2014 to 2019.
After the start of land turnover, it will be more profitable for Ukrainian youth to stay, work and earn money at home, in the countryside, in Ukraine. After all, an appropriate legislative “route” has been built so that a young Ukrainian person/family can buy a house in a village with their own land, register their own family farm, such as a dairy farm, receive substantial compensation and financial support from the state through numerous agricultural programs. profit by building-developing your own business in your own village, on your own land.
“Parliamentarians, including me, the Government – are constantly working to simplify the system and improve mechanisms. I am sure that soon, in order to open your own farm, receive state support, apply for subsidies and subsidies, pay taxes, it will be enough to just turn on your gadget, ”said the People’s Deputy.
Solomchuk is convinced that the development of the young farmers’ movement and the revival of the Ukrainian countryside is the path to national success. Quality, craft products will be in price and in great demand. And self-employment of peasants, young people who will work and stay in the countryside – will guarantee the development of villages, settlements.
