Ukraine proceeds from the agreement on the main directions of cooperation of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of consumer protection.

The law enters into force on July 4.
“Withdraw from the Agreement on the Main Directions of Cooperation of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the Field of Consumer Protection, concluded on January 25, 2000, in Moscow and ratified by the Law of Ukraine of March 7, 2002,” the document reads.
On June 15, 2021, the parliament passed a law on Ukraine’s withdrawal from the Agreement on the main directions of cooperation between the CIS states in the field of consumer protection.
The Commonwealth of Independent States is a regional international organization created by the former republics of the Soviet Union on their territories.
Ukraine was one of the initiating members of the CIS. Ukraine and Georgia withdrew from the commonwealth after Russia started wars on their territories.
Ukraine has withdrawn from a number of CIS agreements
In February, Ukraine withdrew from agreements on civil aviation and the use of airspace concluded within the CIS.
In April, Ukraine withdrew from the CIS agreement on the rules for determining the origin of goods from developing countries.
The Government approved the decision to withdraw from the Agreement on Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Customs Affairs of 15 April 1994.
