Birla Carbon, the world’s leading supplier of carbon black and a key company of the Indian multinational Aditya Birla Group, has announced the appointment of Madhavi Kanumoory as its new Chief Digital Officer.

Birla Carbon is a leading provider of innovative sustainable carbon black solutions, with footprints spanning 12 countries with 16 manufacturing facilities and 2 technology centers in Marietta (US) and Taluja (India).
Its products improve the performance of paints, coatings, inks and inks, plastics, adhesives, sealants, textile fibers, mechanical rubber goods, and tires.
In this new role, Kanumoory will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s digital and information technology, reporting to John Loudermilk, COO.
Prior to joining Birla Carbon, she held the position of Chief Information Officer at Healthcare Global Enterprise based in Bangalore, India.
Prior to that, she held various leadership positions at General Electric, Bell Helicopters, and Zion Chemicals in the United States and India.
Kanumoory holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore, India, specializing in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
She will join the company’s senior management team and will be based in the Birla Carbon office in Mumbai.
