Next season, 24-year-old Canadian defender Yasiin Joseph will play for BC Zaporizhia.

Joseph was born in Ottawa, Canada. He studied and played basketball at Carleton University – the strongest student basketball franchise of the XXI century in Canada – with 15 championship titles in 20 years. In his final student season, Joseph averaged 13.2 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in 22 minutes on the court.
Last season was the first for Yasiin in his European career. He played in the Dutch championship for “Landstate Hammers”. In the semifinals of the playoffs, his team lost to the future champion from the city of Leiden. In the Netherlands, Joseph averaged 12.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 28 minutes spent on the court.
Last season, Zaporizhia became the silver medalist of the Ukrainian championship, losing to Prometheus in three matches of the final series of the Super League.
