One thousand tons of blueberries a year, 400 hectares of plantations, 2000 seasonal workers from nearby villages (within a radius of 50 km). All this is a farm in the Zhytomyr region. Forget about strawberries in Poland. Now there is a blueberry Barvynivka. The People’s Deputy Dmitry Solomchuk reported about it on the page on Facebook.
Kyiv. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – July 8, 2021 – Agriculture
“For all skeptics who believe that it is impossible to earn in the village and high technology – only in the cities. One thousand tons of blueberries a year, 400 hectares of plantations, 2000 seasonal workers from nearby villages (within a radius of 50 km). All this is a farm in the Zhytomyr region, ”he wrote.
According to the people’s deputy, earlier there was an old collapsed collective farm. About 900 villagers had no income, no infrastructure, no roads. Now there is everything thanks to agriculture.
About half of all Ukrainian blueberry crops are grown on this farm. An irrigation system has been created for each field, buses have been purchased to transport workers. The production has the highest level of certification and exports blueberries to dozens of EU countries and the UK.
On the way to the village, 8 km of asphalt road was laid as part of the Big Construction (work is still ongoing). There has never been asphalt here in my life: people suffocated in dirt and dust. Big construction is not only roads, it is the construction of a new flourishing village, where happiness and joy reign in the homes where Ukrainians return.
“This is a great example of how agriculture and farming can change Ukraine. I am happy every time I see such enterprises in the villages and understand that the future is behind the agricultural sector! ”Dmytro Solomchuk is sure.
