This was announced by the official representative of the German federal government, Stephen Seibert, at a briefing on July 9.
“German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel will meet with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on July 12, 2021, at 19:00 for a joint dinner,” said Stephen Seibert.
According to him, the topics of discussion will be bilateral relations, implementation of the Minsk agreements on the settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, the reform process in Ukraine, economic issues, as well as relations with Russia. Also among the topics of discussion are issues related to the construction of Nord Stream-2.
It is expected that the two leaders will issue statements to the press.
It is reported that during this morning, Zelensky will meet with German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
