The second stage of the National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide will be completed in full by the 90th anniversary of the tragedy of 1932-1933. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on July 13 in the framework of the forum “Ukraine 30. Humanitarian Policy”.

“Time is moving us further and further away from those tragic times. Indeed, there are almost no surviving witnesses to the Holodomor. And today we are responsible for the preservation and transmission of this memory to all our modern and future generations for conveying truthful information about the Holodomor. Can we as a nation believe that we are fulfilling this duty to the end of the Holodomor Memorial Museum is not completed in the country for many years, the President said.
He noted that he keeps this issue under personal control because it is extremely important to complete such important historical work.
The 90th anniversary will fall in November 2023. The fourth Saturday of November in Ukraine is recognized as the Day of Remembrance of the Holodomor Victims. Memorial events are held both in Ukraine and abroad. Every year on this day the all-Ukrainian action “Light a candle” is held.
