The film of the Odessa Film Studio “Hadzhibey Fortress” became the best full-length film of the Best Istanbul Film Festival. The goal of the Best Istanbul Film Festival is to present independent filmmakers from all over the world and to become a tool for them, which opens the way to the film industry, ”the State Film Agency said in a statement.
The action of this historical-adventure film takes place during the Russo-Turkish war on the territory of the Northern Black Sea coast. Kozak Andriy has to pass important information to Istanbul. – Fatima was played by Turkish model Deren Talu. The role of her father was played by the famous Turkish actor Yurdaer Okur. According to the script, Ahmet Pasha and Fatima know the Ukrainian language because they live in this territory. They speak Turkish to each other and Ukrainian to Ukrainians.
