By the end of this year, pensions and co-payments for some categories of prisoners will be increased in Ukraine.

When will the increase:
July
In particular, from July 1, 2021, the subsistence level in Ukraine has increased to 2,379 hryvnias for able-bodied Ukrainians.
Accordingly, from July, the minimum old-age pension will increase, as well as the surcharge for overtime service.
Also, from July 1, a surcharge of UAH 100 is set to pensions that were assigned to recipients until December 31, 2020, and was not transferred in 2021.
October
Older pensioners will also receive new surcharges this year.
From October 1, payment is set up to UAH 400 to persons aged 75 to 80.
In addition, from October, the minimum pension will increase to UAH 2,500 from the current UAH 2,400.
December
From December 1, the subsistence level in Ukraine will increase, as well as the minimum wage – up to UAH 6,500 from the current UAH 6,000.
This will increase the minimum pension to UAH 2,600 for pensioners over 65 years of age.
State budget-2021 and pensions
On December 15, 2020, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill on the state budget of Ukraine for 2021.
On the same day, December 15, 2020, Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko, commenting on the question of one of the deputies about reducing the Pension Fund’s expenditures by UAH 8 billion in preparation for the second reading of the draft state budget for 2021, said that the 2021 budget has enough funds to pay pensions.
It was planned that the indexation of pensions by 11% will be carried out from March 1.
Starting from January 1, 2021, Ukraine began to increase pensions for certain categories of pensioners. In particular, pensions increased by UAH 300 to UAH 2,400, an increase for those over 65 and with 30 years of service for women and 35 years for men. The increase is due to the growth of the minimum wage in Ukraine, which will be increased for the second time from December 1, 2021 – respectively, then the pensions of this category of pensioners will increase again, from 2400 to 2600 UAH.
On January 27, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a bill on the indexation of pensions for all pensioners from 2022, which will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
On February 17, 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers during a meeting approved the budget of the Pension Fund of Ukraine for 2021.
In addition, in 2021, Ukraine will double the minimum pension (by a total of 9.3%) – in line with the growth of the subsistence level for people who have lost their ability to work.
From March 1, 2021, in Ukraine, the planned indexation of pensions, which will be approximately 11%. In addition, Ukrainians over the age of 80 have started receiving a monthly supplement of UAH 500 (if their pension does not reach the average salary in Ukraine, which is taken into account for the calculation of pensions).
From April 1, 2021, in Ukraine, it was planned to recalculate pension payments to working pensioners taking into account the length of service (or length of service and earnings) acquired after March 1, 2019.
From July 1, 2021, pensioners aged 75 to 80 will start receiving a monthly surcharge of UAH 400 (similarly, if their pension does not reach the amount of the average salary in Ukraine, which is taken into account for the calculation of pensions).
In June, pensioners were to be given increased pensions and surcharges for April and May.
