In Ukraine, 2.244 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase of 24 days on July 16, which is less than the day before. 438 people were hospitalized per day, a certain increase against the figure the day before. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

“For the day of July 16, 2021, in Ukraine recorded 591 new confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19 (including children – 41, health workers – 9),” – said in a statement.
Also for the past 24hrs:
– 438 people were hospitalized;
– fatal cases – 16;
– recovered – 676 people;
During the day, 18,006 people were tested:
– by PCR,
– by ELISA – 8,718 people,
– by rapid tests – 14,648 people.
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
– 2,244,196 people fell ill;
– 2,180,957 people recovered;
– fatalities – 52,718;
– PCR tests were performed – 11,138,052.
Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (171), Odesa (60), Dnipropetrovsk (40), Kharkiv (35), and Kyiv (33) oblasts.
Quarantine to counter the spread of a new type of coronavirus in Ukraine was introduced on March 12, 2020. Then it was repeatedly continued and transferred to the form of adaptive quarantine in the summer.
From January 8 to 24, Ukraine was subject to strict quarantine. It was administered to “bring down” the incidence of COVID-19. The Ministry of Health noted that the main effect of the January “lockdown” was achieved.
On January 25, Ukraine returned to the restrictions that applied before the January strict quarantine.
On February 24, Ukraine returned to adaptive quarantine with the introduction of four levels of epidemic danger.
On June 16, the government eased quarantine restrictions in Ukraine and extended the quarantine until August 30.
