The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan stated that the country’s servicemen came under fire from the Armenian army along the entire length of the state border. The shelling began the night before, on July 16, and continued this morning, July 17.

According to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, on July 16 from 20:40 to 22:30 units of the Armenian Armed Forces from positions located in the village of Yukhara Shorja Basarkecharsky district, and on July 17 at about 01:00 from the village of Mosesgeh Berdsky district periodically fired from rifle weapons of the position of the Azerbaijani Army in the direction of the village of Istisu, Kelbajar district and the village of Agdam, Tovuz district.
On July 17, at 8:30 a.m., units of the Armenian Armed Forces, located near the village of Arazdeyen in the Vedic district, fired at various positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the direction of the Sadarak district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
“In order to suppress the fire activity of the opposing side, the fire was fired in response,” the Defense Ministry added.
It is reported that there are no victims.
It should be added that the parties have been exchanging accusations of shelling over the past few days. On July 16, Armenia reported shelling by Azerbaijan, and on July 15, Azerbaijan complained about the shooting. On July 14, an Armenian serviceman was killed in a shootout.
