In Ukraine, 550,000 educators have been vaccinated against COVID-19. The Ministry of Education emphasizes that currently, the priority task of the department is the process of vaccination of education workers, which will allow starting the educational process in a face-to-face format.

189,000 entrants will be able to study at the expense of the state. More than 37,000 professional junior and junior bachelors, more than 87,000 bachelor’s entrants, and almost 60,000 master’s degree entrants will have the opportunity to study at the expense of the state.
The government has reduced the order for the training of lawyers by 30%. In 2021, the number of public places for a bachelor’s degree in the field of law was reduced by 30%, in the field of management and administration by 28%, and in the field of social and behavioral sciences by 28%.
Applications for admission to universities have been accepted. This year, entrants can submit up to 5 applications for state and regional orders. At the same time, the entrant can submit up to 30 applications for the contract. Each application for budget places must be given priority by the entrant.
Entrance exams and creative competitions in colleges have begun. Exams, creative competitions, and interviews for entrants entering on the basis of basic secondary education have started. According to the results of the tests, there will be a competition for training for professional higher education.
The Ministry of Education and Science asks to pay teachers’ salaries on time. The Ministry of Education stated that the agency, together with the regional departments of education and science, monitors and takes measures to ensure the timely payment of salaries to school teachers.
MES: digital competence of educators is the main task. The agency emphasizes that the ministry has shown significant results in the development of digital education. In particular, the technical support of schools and the digital competence of educators are the main tasks of the Ministry of Education.
In the Introduction. EDUCATION.UA published the first list of entrants. The information system has started informing entrants about the course of the introductory campaign. The site publishes ranking lists of entrants to all institutions of higher education. The site of the system is updated three times a day.
The Ministry of Education and Science provided stamps for model programs of the primary school. The agency recommended the use of new model curricula for basic secondary education. The programs will be implemented in the educational process in stages, starting from the 2022/23 academic year.
The Council has improved the mechanism of forming a network of lyceums. The Verkhovna Rada passed a law to improve the mechanisms for forming a network of lyceums. The law improves certain provisions of the legislation regarding the transformation of the network of secondary education institutions.
The Ministry of Education and Science plans to provide kindergartens with financial freedom. The Minister of Education said that the education department is developing a new version of the law “On Preschool Education”, which will provide for the financial freedom of preschool education institutions, as well as a new model of financing preschool education.
State language exams are starting in Ukraine. The first session of Ukrainian language exams for civil servants will begin on July 19. The exam is designed for people who need to confirm their level of proficiency in the state language.
