At least 15 people died in a landslide in the city of Atami in Japan, which occurred in early July.

“So far, 15 people have died, the whereabouts of 14 are still unknown,” the channel reported, citing local authorities.
As a result of a large-scale mudslide that occurred on July 3 in the Izusan area of Atami, about 130 houses were damaged.
It is noted that rescuers and police continue to work at the scene.
The landslide in Atami occurred on July 3. Its length reached about 2 km. In some places, more than 550 mm of precipitation fell in two days.
